The game is now fully playable in online and LAN network environments, with support for up to 8 active players. Multiplayer offerings of C&C: Generals are also expanded with new modes of play. Generals’ Challenge greatly expands the available single-player content in the game, providing seasoned players with one of the most challenging experiences they can experience in the entire C&C franchise. This mode pits the player against a list of AI opponents, all featuring larger access to in-game technology and unit structure, with the final “boss” AI being able to use all structures and units that are available in the game.
In addition to the three new campaigns (each having five new missions), this expansion also enables all players to experience a new mode of play - Generals’ Challenge. This update also expands the available number of structures and units in base factions, enabling players to use brand-new offensive and defensive tactics on the battlefield. The players are tasked to maintain, build, and defend their mobile military bases, gather resources, and command units until the mission parameters are met or until all opponents on the map are defeated.
